WOODCUT MEDIA AND DUCHESS STREET PRODUCTIONS HIRE EX GREEN DOOR PRODUCER NICHOLAS YEARWOOD AS CONSULTANT EXECUTIVE PRODUCERPublished on: 23rd August 2016
Bob & Co partners, Woodcut Media and Duchess Street Productions have secured the services of producer Nicholas Yearwood, to come aboard as Consultant Executive Producer across both companies.
Prior to setting up as a consultant, Yearwood was a founding member of Idris Elba’s production company Green Door Pictures which launched in 2014. During his tenure he operated as Executive Producer, as well as Head of Development. He was responsible for executive producing a variety of non-scripted programming including the Sky series Ones to Watch, the Idris Elba directed short, Beats of the Beautiful Game, as well as documentary films such as Mandela My Dad and Me, directed by BAFTA award-winning Daniel Vernon.
“After nearly three amazing years at Green Door Pictures, it has been a privilege to see the company grow and I feel now is the right time to explore a variety of interesting and exciting opportunities elsewhere. After two successful co-productions with Woodcut, I’m delighted to be continuing that relationship and look forward to further developments with Duchess Street and other Indies in due course,” commented Nicholas Yearwood.
“In recent years we have developed a fantastic rapport with Nicholas whilst working together on docs such as Mandela, My Dad and Me, and Cut From A Different Cloth. His creative vision and production values are aligned with Woodcut’s, and we look forward to his collaboration on various upcoming projects,” said Kate Beal, CEO, Woodcut Media.
“We are proud to support new and diverse talent, and look forward to working with Nicholas on some high-end original ideas with both established and newer talent. We are confident his creative flare and confidence in storytelling will prove invaluable,” said Donna Wiffen, Managing Director, Duchess Street Productions.
