THEATRE CRITICS SING PRAISES OF HETTY FEATHERPublished on: 29th May 2014
‘Amusing, gripping, spectacular and moving’ – The Times
Hetty Feather, the West End theatre production co-produced by Bob & Co’s William Archer, has been lauded with praise by The Times theatre critic Dominic Maxwell, who says “it is, quite simply, one of the best shows I’ve seen this year.”
Maxwell calls the production “a kid’s show for adults too” and adds, “the fact that my girls and I all found it amusing, gripping, spectacular and moving makes it very special indeed.”
Hetty Feather, the touring stage adaptation of Jacqueline Wilson’s celebrated book for children, adapted by Emma Reeves, directed by Olivier Award nominated Sally Cookson and co-produced by Bob and Co’s William Archer, is coming to the West End this summer.
Hetty Feather is a Victorian saga of a fiery young red-haired girl, Hetty, whose mother gives her away as a baby to the Foundling Hospital in London.
The show is performed on a dazzling circus-ring set and uses unique, experimental theatrical techniques to tell the tale.
Hetty Feather is touring the UK from 8 June to 6 September. Find touring information here: LINK
