Film & Digital

SUMS Film & Media is a film production company focusing on narrative driven films for digital platforms, traditional features for theatrical release, and the integration of the two.

Started in 2012 by producer Andy Brunskill and exec-producer/financier Bob Benton, its aim was to use traditional film development techniques and relationships to generate high-end narrative driven content across a range of platforms with a special focus on the next generation of filmmaking talent.

Since its inception produced films include:

LILTING – Feature film starring Ben Whishaw, co-produced with BBC Films and Film London through its Microwave scheme, released in the UK by Artificial Eye and sold Internationally by Protagonist. The film opened the World Dramatic Competition at the 2014 Sundance Festival and won Best Cinematography. So far sold to 15 territories.

JET TRASH – Feature film starring Robert Sheehan (MISFITS, MORTAL INSTRUMENTS) and Sofia Boutella (KINGSMAN: SECRET SERVICE, STAR TREK). Shot in London and Goa, India and currently in final stages of post.

THE CALL UP – Video game style sci-fi feature film directed by Charles Barker, financed by Creative England, Altitude and E1. Currently in post-production.

SENKA – Short film by top music video director Dan Sully. Financed by Creative England it premiered at the London Short Film Festival. The short film serves to bridge the gap between Sully’s music-vid career and his first feature entitled DEBT COLLECTOR which SUMS currently has in development with Vice Films.

HIGH TIDE, Micro-budget feature release across 30 screens in Wales.

HOW TO BECOME A CRIMINAL MASTERMIND – Microbudget feature, winner of best low-budget feature at the London Independent Film Festival.

SUMS has a number of projects in development with talent such as Steven Hall, Mark O’Rowe, Penny Skinner, Alecky Blythe, Oscar Sharp, DBC Pierre, Rory Stuart Kinnear, Sebastian Faulks, Jonathan Asser and NABIL.

SUMS recently partnered with Bob & Co and Film London to finance and Executive Produce the first ever Microwave International which will be a Co-Production with Cinestaan, India.
