40 Partners commissioned for AOLPublished on: 17th October 2014
40 Partners is a dynamic new talent, production and distribution company. Bob & Co is a proud investor in the business.
Announced at the inaugural IAB Digital Upfront at BAFTA, the new web series featuring home-grown talent Richard Bacon, Tess Daly and The Saturdays singer Rochelle Humes, are AOL’s first original commissions outside the US, marking a significant expansion of its drive into the premium content market.
Ordered by AOL’s European director of video Mark Melling, the shows will be executive produced by 40 Partners’ chief executive Geoffrey Goodwin.
“Tess Daly, Richard Bacon and Rochelle Humes are some of the UK’s most loved on-screen talent and front shows that we believe will compliment AOL’s success in the US” said Goodwin.
“AOL’s commitment to deliver smart and authentic programming for audiences across the AOL On Network makes them a terrific brand partner to work with.”
Each series, consisting of 12 episodes, will be made available via the AOL On Netwok, alongside existing US series and around 250,000 video clips from programmes including Channel 4 News, Embarrassing Bodies and Supernanny, which were secured following a raft of distribution deals struck in March.
